The Quota Killers - Issue #7

Merry Christmas!🎄

Welcome to issue #7! This week we find some low effort SQOs and do a deep dive into reflecting and goal setting with Skylar! Oh, and, another Hormozi Podcast ;)

Enjoy 🚀

P.S. Elon Musk decided it was time to close down Revue. Much to our avail, we will be finding a new mode of newslettering in the coming weeks. If you get a Quota Killers Newsletter from an unfamiliar source, that is why.

Thanks Elon! We were just getting started...

Low effort SQOs…🕵🏼‍♂️ 🧐

{gmail scheduling and automation}

“Let’s wait till Q4”...We are all very familiar with variants of this common objection. Interestingly enough, it has become one of my favorites. I like it so much, I rarely attempt to create urgency and retort. This objection translates into the easiest booked meeting & SQO's you could imagine…Here is how.

The first step is throwing in a bit of Devil's Advocacy...Go along with it, let curiosity take the conversation, and find out WHY Q4 is appropriate.

What changes are being made? New COO? Budget finalization? Headcount approval? Etc...

This is the most important time too, ehh, politely, shush and let them tell you their needs. After the call, format a follow-up email summarizing this information and how your solution will aid them.

Rather than sending it immediately, schedule the email for a week or so before their relative time frame. You will impress them with your memory, attention to detail, and follow-up skills, thus making booking a meeting in the future a breeze, and an easily qualified opportunity. This practice creates a beautiful compounding of meetings booked resulting in proactive success.

Pro Tip: In addition to your scheduled email, utilize a pre-made nurture sequence for "X" amount of time that nudges the prospect prior to their eventual time of interest. I have one set for 3, 6, and 9 months. This way the prospect will have the product top of mind, and it will stay within the designated rules of engagement.

Journaling for success 🥷🏼

As we end 2022 and enter 2023, there is will be lots of reflecting & goal making to be had. But how can you ensure that your goals are being met and you are holding yourself accountable for future success…?

Journaling! Before you write this idea off as some frou-frou BS, hear me out. Journaling is an incredible tool to add to your repertoire as it allows you to free-flow the thoughts that are occurring in your head and turn them into a real conception or a negligible concern.

I started journaling when I was locked in my room last New Year’s Eve with COVID. I found an old notebook and started writing because I had nothing better to do. Anything that came to mind. Pages later, I came to realize that I was unhappy with my career path and it was time for a change. I never thought as a project engineer working for a construction company I would end up in SAAS sales. But, here I am, 1 year later with my dream career path working at an amazing company and I couldn’t be happier. All because of a pen, some paper, and of course, making sh*t happen.

Here is my favorite notebook in case you want to try it out! No better time than now to start dreaming.
